I bought a couple hygro from Amazon and I all returned them for a exchange since they were way off. Did that a couple time. No wonder they shipped it in a huge box so it bounce around. Use boveda to caliber your hygro in eighter an air lock container or ziploc. Way more precise than the salt test.

The more you put in the more it will stabilize since you take up more air space in your humidore. Yes maybe it will drop a bit since every stick will suck up humidity. But ounce you stabilize it will be easier to maintain. That's my opinion and observation I saw for me anyway

I bought 2 of them from the version 1 and they are perfect. If you ask me I think version 1 is better.
