  1. For someone that's been enjoying bourbon long before it became mainstream, this is really disappointing. I know there's a lot of other high quality bourbon's that are ranked higher and are priced for less, but it's this kinda crap that raises the price on everything and makes the little bit of selection we have in the great white north even less attainable. I have no issue with supply and demand pricing, but this is pricing to drive demand. And indirectly it's this kind of crap that makes attaining the ultra premiums even more difficult. Errrr, what am I thinking. Hey everyone! This is the new Pappy's! No comparison. Pappy's x 10. I'll give you $0.60 on the dollar for what you paid and I'll hook you up with this exclusive bourbon. Get in now while it's not too late. Prices are sure to soar when this gets out!!!
  2. This is a piss off. $120 for a three yr old?! C'mon. Talk about jumping on the bourbon marketing bandwagon, and let's throw in the "limited to 6000 cases" statement to really turn up the suck. I've never tried it, but I already hate it.
  3. Still trying to get my hands on the Weller 12, but I have tried both Jefferson's. I enjoyed both.
  4. You're not the only one dreaming Zedman05. Thanks for posting your pics. I enjoyed it. Not sure if you knew, but the pic of the wall mural is of prominent political leaders in Cuba's history. All the different colors of sand that were used have all been sourced from all around Cuba.
  5. Is anyone familiar with this pipe? I stumbled across the pic, and really like it. Done some digging, but haven't been able to determine the brand and/or if it's still available.
  6. This is a disappointment to me...and suspicious...
  7. Lit up this God of Fire while me and the Mrs. took a walk down by Police Point Park yesterday. It was a beautiful afternoon!
  8. This with my morning coffee and rain.
  9. I'm with you @RedRum. Cold weather, but mostly gray clouds and wet weather is when the pipe calls me. And unlike cigars, the pipe is a solemn, and solo experience for me.
  10. Medicine Hat, Ab. Big Bourbon fan here.
  11. I'd be happy to help you with that, should our paths cross one day.
  12. Sure makes a guy wonder if there was any PG added to these bottles, but even so, I've never had a jug of distilled water that went moldy. Next question is "What is in here?"
  13. Thanks for you replies gentlemen. I've primarily been dw, but with limited employment taking me away from home and out of town more often, I though the added benefit of pg would be an asset to regulate humity, and limit any mol. growth.
  14. I was sure I read about this on this forum, but a search didn't turn anything up. The attached pics are Brigham cigar solution. I bought two of the 16oz. bottles, and after realizing the first was developing mild internally I took it back to my local b&m. My understanding was Brigham was replacing these with two of the same. Well, my local replaced it with two of the 8oz. bottles. I'm not complaining. Just happy to have it replaced, however I now notice the second 16oz. bottle also has the same issue so go to crack open each of the two 8oz. bottles to find the same thing. Sh*t happens. I get it, but even an attempt to make it right has failed. And if I can't trust this product now, why would I after a failed attempt to make things right. Does anyone have a suggestion on what to do or who to approach? Or should I simply move on, and accept the lesson learned?
  15. Nice score! Don't need any incentive for another round of death darts, but cigar's and sips are an added bonus!
  16. I've seen several of these. There are a couple of them at the local antique shop. All have a small ashtray, some have a small jar type humi for cigarette tobacco, square box was for papers, and I've seen both fluid lighter or electric coil lighter. All of them are works of art in my opinion, and at first glance they all look the same, but a closer look and you really see the individual detail in each that make them pretty special.
  17. The pipe calls me when the gray skies hit.
  18. This is a great beer, but unfortunately the price kinda pulls it down.
  19. I'd like to hear your thoughts on it when you do @@Mustang1981
  20. I like the sounds of that @REASON. I've been sitting on one for awhile now, and as the beer fridge fills and I'm trying to make space I've started to second guess if this was worth it. That said, perhaps now is as good a time as any to open and share if it's presenting well right now.
  21. I've got a Xikar cutter that the blades seem to have binded and peeled the edge back the very first attempt to use it. I stopped at two b&m's that I've supported over the past few years and all I got was, "we don't carry that model". Gotta say I'm a bit disappointed.
  22. Second last one; excellent. Last one; not so excellent. Third time....you know what they say.
