Local roaster here for me(Halifax) is called java blend. I'm no expert but they have an awesome selection. I'm looking into a burr grinder and French press soon

I could try some 65%s in the summer and see if it drops down. I just always toke himidification out completely during the summer, figured the bovedas wouldnt be able to keep up to lowering it down anyway. I toke a measurement yesterday day. Humidity was 40% in my house, mid summer is get over 80% easily. No A.C. in out place otherwise that would help keep it down. I don' mind storing them at 70ish during winter as I don't smoke during cold months but I'd like to dry them out a it once it gets warmer outside.

In the summer I usually put my humidor in a little mini fridge that I have(not turned on) the extra seal on the door and insulation helps big time. I could try doing that this time of year without the himidification and see how it holds. I know the humidity in the house is around 50-60 as long as the furnace is on regularly this time of year. I think ideally if I could get them to low 60%s that would be perfect smoking range.

Yeah exactly, dry boxing would be pointless for me, maybe not at this time of year but yeah. Thanks for the suggestion! I don't have problem with tight draw usually, they just get alittle funk towards the last third. I know I'm a slow smoker so I'm not getting them to hot so I figure maybe it' the humidity as a lot of people seem to prefer drier smokes from what I read on here.

Might be a bit of a rookie question but I'm just curious of methods to dry cigars, in particular quick ones. I keep my cigars right at the 70/70 level. Mainly cause that is as low as I can keep it it my house most of the year(summer time it's a struggle to keep it there). Even though thats a good spot to store at its a bit to moist to smoke for my liking, so curious to what yall think. I'e heard of dry boxing but I know that can take a couple days or longer. Thanks guys!

It has Wi-Fi capabilities. The s2/s3 was a consideration

Yeah I was talking about a tablet to buy, sorry. There is a ton of options, your comparison is good to know, thanks

Hey y'll, haven' been on here for a bit. Merry Christmas to all of you. I was lucky enough to be given a fancy new DSLR for my trip and sense we don' have a computer of any sort i thought a new tablet would be ideal for doing alittle bit of photo editing as I learn how to use my new toy. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to get or if there' any boxing day deals on anything particular? Thanks guys and gals

Opening day of general deer season today on the east coast. So warm I could have warn blaze orange shorts to my stand 😁. Won't be going out till she cools off a bit, hope everyone else is having better luck then me!

I don't have a computer to load my trail camera pictures onto but I'm getting some awesome shots this year. Counted 7 different bucks in just the last week, one monster 6 pointer that is near the 300 lb without question. Hope everyone is having some luck so far and be safe out there!

I was looking for the blade 4, they only had blade 5 so I went with that, no complaints so far!
-
Lol yeah I suppose your right. I think I'm going to buy a blade4 board. To be honest I'm blown away buy how short the life span is on new boards! All the reviews I've read say at most people get a year out of them. Board I play on has been hanging in our basement for 20 years now and it plays fine haha

I think soft tip are typically a lot lighter, maybe that's why. I've never tried them myself

I'm in need of a new board/slash cabinet. There's a local store that specializes in billiards/darts but wondering if you guys know of any online sources, just out of curiosity. Also wondering if any of use throw soft tip darts vs steel tip?
-
I'll check them out. Thanks

Yet again I come to this forum with my off the wall questions. I hope you all can come through again. I'm looking to get myself a wool/tweed flat cap for the winter months. Just curious if there's any hat guys out there that can suggest websites or brands to look into? There isn't any B&M stores locally to check out so I'm looking online. Thanks all!

Might sound stupid but I smoke a Bolivar RC today and on the back on the wrapper there was writing. I assume it means nothing but I thought someone with a lot of knowledge on Cubans might have a reason for it, as insignificant as it may be. For a second I thought I had found the equivalent to Willy wonkas golden tickets 🤣

Yeah that's a cool set up. Looks a little bright though with the sun, but you can always move it!

Never seen these before, pretty cool stuff!

I kept them in last year but after a while I don't think they could suck any more moister in. Humidity went off the charts.

Anyone have experience dealing with high altitude treks or just treking in general. I'm looking at a few potential trips for next year. Mount Kilimanjaro, Everest base camp and Patagonia are top of the list. A friend also suggested some treks in Switzerland through the alps. I also intend to do a climb(particularly the first 2 options) as a charity fundraiser so I'd love to get any info on fundraising as I have no experience in the matter!

Toke the bovedas out of my humi yesterday. Holding at 64 on it's own, I hope I don't have the same issues as last summer
-
Hmm I can't say I do this. Except for when the smoke is about out and I need to get it going again but there are some valid points brought up that make me consider trying this
