As a survivor of the Killing Fields of Cambodia I can relate to your co-worker. Thankful to your Dad and all the veterans that gave so much to this great country. It's nice that my greatest worry these days is what clothing to put on, is the Flames going to blow another game, which cigar to smoke, what whisky to pair it with, etc.

At one point, we took a year off to travel. Went to China, SE Asia, India, Africa. After seeing that, I came back with a much better appreciation of how good we have it here. I'll never complain about how our system works here. In so many other places, you have nothing and the poverty is mind boggling.

  14. Tonight in the mobile lounge-Ronny Jordan, americano and a fantastic Punch robusto. Think I could have used a pint with this one, although it did, as do most, go great with coffee, it left me parched and very content.

  26. Excellent suggestions. Can't say I've had much exposure to RyJ's. Had one Coronitas and a couple Short Churchills. I wasn't a big fan of either but maybe I should give it another try. I was thinking today that maybe I should give them all a Trinidad Vigia as their first. One of my favourites! Great flavours, lots of smoke, and I have a good buzz going by the end of one. My only problem is that if I let them try those, there's less for me. 😁 I'm going to have to decide by Friday!

    Greetings from Laval

Hello everyone, Just signed-in to this great forum. Started to smoke cigars a couple of years ago, but no one close to me could guide me, so turning to online community to learn much more. Aside from cigars, I'm 39 years old and been working in the video surveillance industry for a while. Cheers!

  32. What are the maduro's like in respect to the regular line of Cohiba's ? I've only had one Cohiba before, a siglo 1 which was not good, but I want to to pick up a few Cohiba's because I need to get a proper experience. Basically I don't want to buy a Maduro if it's too similar to the regular line.

  36. Be careful what you wish for. 💥 Having shared with @dvickery that the Bolívar Especiales No. 2 Edición Regional Alemania 2009 was one of my white whales, he decides to blindside me with a fiver of them. Includes a Romeo y Julieta Petit Corona from the seventies, just for good measure. Speechless over here. Such generosity. Thank you very much, my fellow brother. It is greatly appreciated.

So living in the same town as@craftsman I had to google (this is what all the young impatient kids do) what the @#_& was coming into town. It's Starbucks backwards. This is my opportunity to get back at these hipsters and tell them I'm offended at this sign! I'm going to protest by buying one of their fancy latte with egg nog and sparking up a cigar and sitting down at one of their tables.... That'll show them. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk

  46. I have said this before; the Vegueros brand really is a sleeper for this type of thing. They offer vlaue and a lighter flavor. The one thing you don't want to overfue is strength. Their smaller sizes are great to not overwhelm a noobie too. I know I have handed robustos to people and the look they give is "wow, big cigar". To us regular smokers, it is normal, but I remember smoking Upmann Corona Majors early on, and thinking it was a larger cigar, as most think of colts or white owls as beginner cigars.

  47. LOL! I recall giving a good friend "newbie" a PSD4..."It's a great cigar, you'll really like it", I said...30 min later he was green like Kermit the frog.

  49. Hmmm. You just need to look in the right shop. Are you looking for one that uses the ashtray you bought, chromed and art deco like? Or choice #2 over the top gold with lustres and cherubs?
