So I finally got the memo and dug some NCs out of the cabinet.
This Padron Londres has had about three years rest and they still have a very spicey bite to them. Settled down after the first third and the dark chocolate flavours that I like so much are coming through much better. Hugh smoke for a little stick and definately box worthy.

An LFD DL-660 Maduro this evening. Quite an impressive cigar in it's 4 x 60 size....must say I was a bit scared as LFD are strong cigars. But I had it aging for 5 yrs & it did wonders....balanced blended flavors of dried fruits-raisins with a hint of sweetness over a Woody core. To my surprise no Pepper !! which is unusual for an LFD. Did nub it after 1 1/2 hour as it was that good....:)

So I have@bacchus to blame, er thank! for this AB Maxx. Big honking stick that has a lot of the Black Market profile without the spice. Smooth with huge thin smoke and strong choco hints. No real change from start to finish but still a good stick. I like maduros and this was a nice change tonight. Thanks buddy.

so my contribution to NC week is the following: a Cigar Bodega 15th anniversary cigar in Robusto

From their website:

Quote

Celebrating Cigar Bodega's 15th Anniversary we are proud to release a truly unique cigar! Made in small batches by a true Artisan Master Blender in Nicaragua, the Cigar Bodega 15th Anniversary is a one of a kind smoke! Using well cured, blended and aged tobaccos this cigar offers a reddish brown oily wrapper, that houses an abundance of flavour with no harsh aftertaste!

Wrapper: Sungrown Ecuadorian Habano

Binder: Ecuadorian Broadleaf

Filler: Jalapa, Condega, Estelli

Sizes Available: Belicorto (4x52), Robusto (5x52) & Toro (6x54)

I took a few notes as I was smoking this one.

Burn time: 1h 25 min (had been stored in my humi @ 64% humidity for 5 months)

Firm, even packed smooth wrapper.

Pre light: Dry hay, sweetness and coco

Lit: Thick smoke, flavours of grassy hay, coco on the retro with a slightly spicy finish.

It burned well, I didn't have any issues besides needing to relight it after I set it down for too long once when nature called. (My fault, not the cigars)

I dunno if I would buy more of these. The flavour was not my favourite, but it performed excellent. If any of you are interested in their house blends I recommend their 18th reserve cigar, it tastes like leather and cedar!

Please excuse the shit formatting, I am still getting used to the new site! (love the update btw)

Cigar #4 was a Don Tomas Nicaragua from earlier today. Best of the week so far. A nice creamy cigar with a savory wood core and a vanilla like sweetness. One dimensional, but still enjoyable.

the main thing i noticed when i tried one of those was the earthy taste! it felt like i was smoking the soil it was grown in! the whole house stunk like dirt for 2 days after even!

Didn't get the earthiness at all.
