DrinkSmokeGolf Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 There are three ways to post photos to the forum. 1. Host the file somewhere else on the Internet This is the preferred method as it saves on server space and bandwidth. First, upload your photo somewhere to the internet. I like Flickr.com because they give you 1TB of free storage. Just sign up for a free account and then go to www.flickr.com/upload Once your photo is uploaded, click on your photo on Flickr and then on this: Now click the size you want and then right click on the photo and select "Copy Image URL" Now come back to the forum, and click on this in your post: Then hit ctrl -v (PC) or cmd-v (MAC) to paste the link then click OK. DrinkSmokeGolf Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 2. Upload the photo to the CCF Gallery This is a cool way of posting pics as it allows others to rate your photos! First, click on Gallery: Now click on Upload: Now Create a New Album, or select one of your old albums Fill in your album info Now Choose Files Select the file(s) from your hard drive you would like to upload. Click Review & Publish, Finish & Publish Now come back to the forum and click on "My Media" Select the Gallery Pics you would like to show in the thread and click Finished Quote
DrinkSmokeGolf Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 3. Upload the photo to the forum This is probably the easiest way but it doesn't have the benefit of people being able to rate your pics as seen in option #2 When replying to a topic click on "Choose Files" Now select the files you would like to upload from your hard drive and click OK. Now, click on "Add to Post" Quote
Canta Fordem Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Thank you. Now, is the Gallery method the one that displays images when the reader is not signed in? Quote
DrinkSmokeGolf Posted August 29, 2014 Author Posted August 29, 2014 Thank you. Now, is the Gallery method the one that displays images when the reader is not signed in? The first and second method would allow guests to see the photos. The 3rd method would not allow guests to view the photos. Quote
jazie Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Shoot I always just do the #3 I guess from Tapatalk. Does that swallow up too much space Quote
DrinkSmokeGolf Posted August 29, 2014 Author Posted August 29, 2014 Shoot I always just do the #3 I guess from Tapatalk. Does that swallow up too much space In Tapatalk, there is an option to use Tapatalk's servers to host the images. I would suggest doing that as it saves bandwidth/server space for me. Quote
