You and me both, my fellow brother.

To think that I may very well never get an opportunity to purchase them, definitely brings a tear to my eye.

They were nowhere to be found in Cayo Santa Maria. ☹️

Easy enough to find in the 250usd range.....bah.

The Rebolas were a gift from a beach attendant that I befriended. He was one of the nicest gentleman I've ever met in Cuba and spoke perfect Portuguese while I exercised my Spanish. He's a non smoker and watched as I smoked stick after stick on the beach as we occasionally shared stories. On our second to last day he approached me and said that it was a pleasure meeting my family and that he wanted to get me Bolivars as a gift but they were too expensive so...he thought he'd opt for something that I most likely had never smoked. He's was correct with his assumption and an all class gentleman that I hope to one day see again.

Awesome story @@Brah and I'm not surprise something like that would happen to you.  Cuba and the Cubans have such a rich, thick, multi-layer culture that get's better and better the further you dig into it.  I am so glad to hear you've experience a small portion of this as many people going to "Cuba" never ever see anything more than the resort.  I love Cuban cigars but I love Cuba more.

The cigars will burned, the rum will be consume but friendships and memory will last longer than my hair.

Great haul and story @@Brah  , I'm curious about the triple barrel aged, is it over 7 years or just a different process?

Either way I think I need to grab some in April!

I am counting the days to get back to the motherland to soak up the culture. What started out as a change from going to the Dominican, turned into cigars and more glorious cigars to the beautiful people and depth of a way of life my soul didn't know was missing.

@@Sanchez it's a NAS rum blended with old and not so old rums. I've tried finding info on the spirit but everything is pretty vague. Next time you're in Cuba try it. Most resorts or hotels have it on the shelf and it sells for $40cuc

It's a good rum but I like the Ron Cubuay 10 year old better.  The Ron Cubuay is my favourite Cuban rum and is 2nd or 3rd on my best rum list.  The Seleccion Maestro is good but it's got a little to much spirit/alcohol/punch for me.

Good 'ol @@nSous While I would never dream of calling him an ass he definitely makes a hell of a mule!

Stunning box of Dip RE Cuba, some very exciting partagas charlottes from '99, a single Cuaba and some tasty looking customs.

Hell of a haul, extremely generous to waste some of his allotment on me.

Thanks a bunch buddy, I'll make sure to return the favour some day.

Cheers!

@@BobWalls the date code for the Epi's should be on the cardboard lid that holds the 3 packs.

@@Sanchez check out my other post in the Cubans forum about this. Unfortunately there is no date stamp inside the box like with my other cardboard boxes. Odd, especially since this is a very trusted source used by many on this forum (so they are almost certainly legit). They are clearly very old as indicated by a lot of signs.
