rosajaniszewska Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Hi guys, I am wondering what everyone's favourite cutter is. I have heard there are three types of cutters: guillotine, punch-cut and v-cut. I personally use the guillotine, and I don't think I've ever used anything else. Do you recommend the punch-cut or v-cut if you use them, and what do you like about the cutter style that you use? Toolguy 1 Quote

They’re kind of an unnecessary luxury. Quote
Jim Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 I typically use a V-cut for most cigars. Bigger ring gages (70+) needs a straight cut most of the time. As the size of cigar causes over heating and they start to blow up as you smoke them. People into Cubans often punch them. I don't use punches often. And there is always the trusted pocket knife to score and remove the cap if you have no cutter. Quote
