It’s actually rolled at the Oliva factory using Oliva tobacco but was blended by EP himself. Pretty cool! There’s some more information here if you are so inclined to read about it.

It’s a beautiful looking cigar. The wrapper is a deep shade of brown and smells wonderful. The bands are striking in appearance. I could do without the band on the foot however, as it was difficult to remove.

The first 2/3rds of this cigar are quite pleasant. It starts with a tangy taste that reminds me of whole wheat sourdough. There is a nice long finish. The cigar remains consistent with this flavor profile throughout the first 2/3rds. Unfortunately, the final third of the cigar takes a turn for the worse with the pleasant sourdough notes fading. I begin to pick up some grassy notes which are not terrible, but the first 2/3rds of the cigar were better.

Construction notes: Great construction! The burn line got a little wavy at times but corrected itself. The cigar did not go out at all and required no touchups.

When to smoke it: I think this cigar would work well in the afternoon or evening. It’s firmly medium bodied.

Size: 5″ x 50 (Robusto)Origin: NicaraguaWrapper: Ecuadorian Sumatra SeedBinder: NicaraguaFiller: NicaraguaSmoking Time: 60 minutesBody: MediumStrength: Mild For today’s review, we’ve got an interesting stick from EP Carrillo.
