The deadline for these premarket applications was extended\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cigaraficionado.com\/article\/fda-extends-deadline-will-reconsider-premium-cigars-19492\">two years ago by the FDA to August 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Last July, however,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cigaraficionado.com\/article\/maryland-judge-shortens-product-approval-deadline\">a Maryland judge shortened the deadline and ordered applications<\/a>\u00a0for premarket products to be filed by May 12, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>As the May deadline looms, the FDA guidance centered largely on vaping and e-cigarette regulations.
