We’ve been having an unseasonably warm October here in Vancouver so I took full advantage on Saturday and fired up a RyJ Exhibicion No.4. I believe this was from a Cuban sampler I purchased some time ago. The box code from this smoke is\u00a0POU\u00a0JUN 12.<\/p>\n

To be honest, it’s not the prettiest smoke. The wrapper is bumpy and veiny. There is a soft spot near the middle also. Fortunately, it smells fantastic pre-light with tons of sweetness on the nose.<\/p>\n

I punch it and fire it up. My first impressions are good. It’s very creamy and sweet tasting. There is a nice rich, full body to this cigar. It is much richer than other RyJ’s I’ve smoked.<\/p>\n

In the early goings, I can taste black tea and leather. The black tea notes are unusual, but very enjoyable. There is not much spice present in this cigar.<\/p>\n

The draw on this cigar is perfect. The body is medium-full and there is not much strength present. There are no touch-ups or relights required.<\/p>\n

The black tea and leather flavour profile remains consistent. At the half way mark, there is a little spice lingering on the finish. Despite the lack of complexity on this cigar, it is very enjoyable. The flavour profile is unique and it remains very rich.<\/p>\n

Smoking time on this was 1h10min. Highly recommended!<\/p>\n
