  1. Now that’s odd. Very odd. The Montecristo No.2 is THE most popular Cuban cigar in the world due to it’s fabrication consistency. This translates into an extremely consistent body (strength) and taste (flavour profile) smoking experience. Year after year, one can count on a Monte No. 2 torpedo to produce the same, pleasurable smoke no matter what. Whether it was at your son’s wedding, your wedding, or the very first wedding you were offered one, it should always deliver the same smoke experience. It is rated ‘Mild to Medium’ in terms of body. I find that it yields tasting notes varying from nutty, woody, peaty, and earthy, when I have it with Port. I refer to the basic, ubiquitous, inexpensive Sandeman Ruby Port. I alternate one small sip of Port with every three or four puffs during the last third of my smoke and it makes the experiece all the more enjoyable and very satisfiying. Perhaps you might have had a counterfeit? If you say that it needs aging, that’s a giveaway that something’s very wrong. If you get the chance and are willing to engage in an unbiased taste test, purchase one from an authentic brick and mortar store which is approved to distribute Cuban cigars by S.A. Habanos. This should not have happened and I find it very strange to say the least. Don’t be put off by it and give it another chance.

  2. Got to agree with Don Francisco. They are some of the best smokes I’ve had. May be that you need to let them age it out a bit as you mentioned at the end of your vid although I am surprised to hear how pedestrian it was.

On another note, I love the reviews but the heavymetal music background kind of takes away from the whole affair. Keep up the great work!

    Cheers
