  1. An article from the "Red" Star on the e-petition. Surprisingly non-partison, simply giving some info on it. https://www.thestar.com/ipolitics/federal/2018/10/04/liberal-mp-wants-cigars-exempted-from-plain-packaging-rules.html We really need the numbers to increase on this thing if we want any hope in hell. https://petitions.ourcommons.ca/en/Petition/Details?Petition=e-1858
  2. Hey Guys, I really dont want to burst any bubbles here with regards to trying to make change or hijack this thread, but the Canadian government does NOT recognize online petitions from anyone other then ones on the house of commons website. Luckily an online petition was started there 2 days ago, this is the one we need to push and share with everyone. Once the petition is closed on January 24, 2019; ANGELO IACONO a Liberal in Alfred-Pellan, Quebec is willing to bring the petition to the floor in the House of Commons. Here is a link to the petition https://petitions.ourcommons.ca/en/Petition/Details?Petition=e-1858 For transparency, I did not start the petition or know the person who did, I am not affiliated with MP Iacono or anyone in any political party.
  3. I am in London once in a while so we may be able to set something up. Keep me in the loop on dates.
  4. Enjoy it bud. Hopefully we'll be able to enjoy another stick together in the future.

  6. I'm still around, went into lurker mode for the last week i was in Vegas, cant enjoy a birthday smoke in the cold
  7. I'd like to think with scotch i wont be fooled as easily, but with any other alcohol i could see that happening (at least for me) So if you guys were to get your hands on a scotch stick where would you use it.... I'd grab a bottle of mcclelland.
  8. On their kickstarter page it looks like they have a charred piece of wood
  9. Yeah its crazy. Distilling Scotch/Whiskey is an art and i dont feel comfortable changing the profile of something a master distiller has spent years perfecting. Which isn't to say i wouldn't at least try it once.
  10. I came across this recently and am curious to know how many of you would give it a go? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/the-filter/11207659/The-wooden-stick-that-makes-cheap-whisky-taste-expensive.html Its basically a wooden stick (made of oak) you place in a cheap bottle of whiskey that helps it give characteristics of a high end whiskey. I have no idea how this stick will take the bite out of the cheap stuff, but i can see how it can release additional notes into the bottle.
  11. Lol, looking forward to making more trips to Montreal
  12. It seems that they are doing everything they can to force us to spend money else where. I have a feeling BOTL in Ottawa will be spending a lot more time in Gatineau and the ones in Niagara will be crossing the border more frequently then they already do. I dont get it.
