surrealtrip
Didn't get a chance to take a photo but I finished a Beef Wellington on the keg... Did some bacon wrapped onion and a French style dumplings and greens to suit.... The dumplings didn't turn out as well as they could have. Smokenscotch
After viewing Craftsman enjoying some Chestnuts and the weather getting cooler, Ā I figured I'd give it a try. Ā I had never had them before, certainly not "cooked". Ā I decided to bring them to to a simmer, then put them in the oven for 15 min on 415 degrees. Ā They turned out pretty nice, sweet actually. Ā However, I noticed with these that there were many I opened that appeared gone fowl? Ā Some had a mouldiness appearance, or dark spots inside the nut. Ā I didn't eat those. Ā Not sure what to expect actually being the first ones I ever cooked. Ā
chefred
personally i don't like marrones, but nice looking ones anyways. Ā I made some thai (esque ) chicken and rice soup!
